One of my all time favorite spooky story authors is Mary Downing Hahn. I’ve read almost all of her books I think. The Best Halloween Books: 13 Spooky Favorites Holiday books can be hit or miss, but these are the best Halloween books in my opinion – they’re clever, well-written, and beautifully illustrated. You won’t want to miss any of these Halloween picture books.
A generous 18 tracks deep, Spooky Favorites covers the familiar creepy-crawly terrain of "Cockles and Mussels," "Spider on the Floor," and "There Was an Old Woman" with all the right affects.
